Skipping the grind also means skipping a few classes and possibly drowning at the deep end. For 1000 doubloons Minnesota is certainly more worth it than Kansas ever will be for free - meme ship for knocking snowflakes only, stashed FXP to get Minesota first second next month. Generally, early access makes sense for players who immediatly got a new ship figured out. Unfortunately I got squat in the first 2 boxes as I predicted. Nothing you cannot get for free, so it's really your personal preference. So take away the port slot, makes 850 doubloons for ~ 18M credits and ~ 30 battles saved. Its kinda like the Iowa in that it cant turn worth a dime, but has more guns, more hp, and much, much thicker armor to deal with positional mistakes. The Montana is far superior to the Iowa in every way though. Also there is the remote chance that you might like the T8-ship, so the grind there is fun. This is coming from absolutely loving and performing very well in the North Carolina. If you have enough EliteXP on the Colorado, so that you can go T8 as soon as the early access is over, then you pay 1000 doubloons for saving the grind through T8 and the cost of a T8 and a T9 ship, plus the cost for a port slot - you'd buy that on discount for 150 doubs max. If you would have to buy the Colorado again, grind your way to T8, then buy the T8 and grind through that, I can see a T9-tech-tree ship for 1000 doubs makes some sense. Should I spend the 1k doubloons for this American giant? Now I've heard that its not that good, but 1k doubloons is not much and I definitely have that amount. I got lucky I guess and the first one of the random bundle was the ship itself.
